I assume that photograph is from McCain’s appearance at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University. Wow, Pat Robertson must have conjured up some atmospherics to befit the occasion.
Sorry, Mustard, it's from Columbia, but I still wouldn't rule Robertson out.
I ususally leave the labels off the pictures because I'm using them independent of context and the captions tend to distract.(Plus, generally what I do is save them to a file, and if they're over a day or two old, it's really a pain to save the caption seperately somewhere and try to keep the two files straight and in line. I've got thousands of pictures in the picture of the day folder.)
And, Graeme, Michael, I don't know why this resonated with me, perhaps it's because when the Republicans and administration are tanking in the rain, the "maverick" is doing just fine despite the fact that he supported almost all of the unpopular programs. Iraq, Tax cuts, etc.
Not to mention that his role as "reformer" came when he was involved in a previous round of corruption, the Keating five, in the S&L days.
No matter how much S**T the media throws, none of it seems to be thrown at him. Where are the questions about his desire to escalate Iraq by sending in 100,000+ more trops?
I just pull them from where I see them. Also, I'm a little bit obsessive about it. Yahoo news photos (AP,Reuters, AFP,) and other newssites I read. I do google and yahoo image searches to pick up alot of them, "search for "Bush kissing" or "Iraq children." Also, I run across collections on topics like cryptome has a huge very graphic one on Iraq, and there are others that have collections of Bush photos or Iraq photos or whatever. Then there's also other blogs that I read that do alot of pictures. Rising Hegemon(although alot are doctored which I don't do,) and Cookie Christine usually has some good photos.
So, bottom line, I don't really have a single source, I just collect them in a file until I want to use them.
And to the last question after the "or," if the "you" in the question is me, then technically no. I figure I'm a small site with no advertising or income so I'm travelling below the radar and I'm not worth the trouble to them anyway. If the "you" in that question is "you," that's your decision. If the blog ever does go bigtime, I'd probably have to stop the feature.
I hope that answers your question, I tried to do it obliquely without using any terms that might show up on a search.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.
Updated several times a day.

what's your source for the great photos that you post? is a subscription site or are you free to republish them?
