looks like a terrorist to me...
ok, now explain to me again why "they" hate us... Look, I'm sure this kid wasn't all blowed up by a Marine, but I'm also pretty sure the locals see us as responsible for enabling the chaos.

Oh yeah, they blame us. I'm not an expert, but this is what I think.
When the Interior Ministry death squads go in, they go in in US supplied uniforms. The overall breakdown of security is blamed on the US because for years they have been the only major force. The belief is that if the US wanted to it could stop alot of the violence, but they don't for political reasons.
The Sunnis think the US is soft on the Shia death squads and the Shia think the US is to accomodating to the Sunni bombers, all in an effort at politics.
Large portions of the elected officials are seen as US stooges by the other side.
Every operation the US conducts against either side is seen locally as taking the other side.
The base problem is that we are in the middle of a civil war.
