It was interesting that the visit of the Australian PM heralded the first with full 'State Honours' for John Howard. It sounds like a royal suck-up aimed at getting at least one other leader on side. It also sounds like desperation.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.

Yeah, Bush has been playing the "state dinner" vs. "whitehouse dinner" thing alot lately.
