Picture of the Day

I'm still not used to her behind the Obama signage.

  • I think she's doing a great job for the Dem ticket. I like the fact that she (and the Dems) are not raising Palin's profile by having Hillary "go after her." They're explicitly making this about issues and not about a cat fight between white women (as the GOP had hoped?).

Good line focusing on the politics, not the personalities:

"Anybody who believes that the Republicans, whoever they are, can fix the mess they created probably believes that the iceberg could have saved the Titanic."

  • I think they're waiting to see if Palin sinks from her own weight.

Her likability numbers are so high right now that attacking her carries risk, especially as she might sink on her own.

And, Clinton was always going to do "the right thing" if for no other reason than it's in her interest to do so.

(And, I wish the Obama camp was better at the soundbites and oneliners, like the Clinton's always have been.)

  • Biden's been known for a sound bite or two...

And I want to say I think Hillary is not only "doing the right thing," she's doing it effectively and not just going through the motions. I think once Bill and Hillary get the scent of the fight they'll have no problems, no emotional reservations, of campaigning hard and effectively for the Dem ticket. They live for the fight... and now they're focused on the "right" opponent.(I hope)

  • Oh yeah, but again, it's now in her interest to do so.

Despite all the 2012 talk, if Obama lost, she might have a very hard time appealing to the other 18 million voters, you know?

To some degree, I think enough of them would blame her that it would make things extremely difficult.

Is that part of the Biden pick? To leave her an open door after Obama leaves?
