I believe this is the precise point when the final thread connecting Bush's brain to reality was snapped. From here on it was all Messiah, all the time.
Although many in his administration wanted to do some pretty crazy things prior to 9-11, I'm looking at you Cheney, it was this moment that George Bush decided on the course we're on.
Personally, I think that Bush's thought process was more like, "Oh f*ck me. F*CK ME!" And you know what, much as I despise Bush, that would have been exactly my reaction.
YEs, and no. From what I can tell, Bolten is smarter than Card, not that hard, but isn't as hard working.
He supposedly has more policy experience and has more ideas, but as long as Rove is running domestic and Cheney is running forign policy, I don't see all that much difference.
He will not improve relations between Bush and the Congress, and it's not like he's really going to win back any support in his appointment.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

I think you're absolutely right.

I think I would've probably been in a moment of frozen panic like that as well, "what do I do? what do I do?"
Of Course, then my staff would've taken me out of that chair and briefed me into action.

Look up "Bush Presidency" in "The American History Encyclopedia" someday. This should be all that's there. No words. Just this shot.
Perfect.

Obviously Card is swearing on his sacred member that his utterances are the truth. I expect Georgw W was asking, "swear on what? Oh, your wee wee...."

So a little different, but not noticably so.
