Yeah, I am fascinated by the oedipal relationship Bush has with his parents. It's really impossible to get at the details from the outside, but the oedipal basics are all there. And it seems to affect him in a policy sense, like the pig headedness to do everything exactly the opposite of his dad's admin.
It's frightening and revealing to note that W. takes advice from Barb, but completely shuns advice from G.H.W.B.
I heard Al Franken recall an encounter he had with Barb on an airline one time. She truely is a piece work, in the the most arrogant, class-elitist sense of the word.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
