Bobby Jindal has been Governor of Louisiana for 13 months.

"While his first year in office has been smooth, that's about to change. Louisiana is facing a $2 billion deficit, and cuts to higher education and health care appear inevitable, says John Maginnis, a veteran political watcher in Baton Rouge.

"It's gonna be a tougher road comin' ahead," Maginnis says. "The legislators are feeling more independent, resources are tighter, there's gonna be more questions about how the money is spent. Yeah, it should be a lot more difficult."

I wonder how come the Right Wing don't refer to him as PIYUSH Jindal, in the same contemptuous way they referred to Obama as Barack HUSSEIN Obama?

Jindal spent 3 yrs as a rep in congress.... where he supported Bush's agenda as a proud lock-step rubber-stamper.

He's ten years younger than the inexperienced, wet behind the ears, not ready for day one, Obama.

Also, he's got a lesser degree of the Palin problem. Louisiana has alot of oil, gas, and chemical production that factors as a large part of the state's industrial base.

And, again, it usually takes more than a year for your mistakes to catch up with you.
