Picture of the Day

  • As the Supremes were filing in, Clarence Thomas was too impatient to follow Ginsburg's slow pace as she was greeted by well-wishers on the procession into the chamber. He sort of slid past her -- cutting, if you will -- only to be held up further by the sergeant at arm (?).

All other justices kept their place patiently in the procession.

The guy's kind of a dick, you know?

  • Yeah, that was a nice moment. But I wish she had sought out Jim Bunning and told him what a jerk he is. Too much class for that, I guess, but he would have deserved it.

  • EPM, I saw that moment, too.

I was also intrigued by the very civil Obama Thomas meeting considering during the election Obama said that Thomas is the one judge he wouldn't have seated because he lacked the necessary judicial record.

    ....

Abi, I hope you saw the lower link in the Quickhits about the bitch fight between Bunning and my state's shame John Cornyn.
