Campaign fail

Let's remember that the Palin selection was "a gamble" intended to turn around McCain's stalled campaign. Any result from the Palin pick of neutral or below has to be viewed as a campaign "fail."

  • Every dollar, every minute, every word they spend trying to "sell" Palin is a dollar, minute and word they are not moving the campaign forward... that they are defending, not selling, Candidate McCain.

Who knows what the American electorate will do in November. But in the mean time, McCain/Palin are playing defense and, in my opinion, losing the credibility war with each passing day. Right now anyway, Obama/Biden are able to push forward on issues and position themselves as the "safe" ticket.

  • All true epm. On the other hand the voters they are after are the ones who love real American hockey moms who eat mooseburgers.

  • I suppose everyone's seen the Sarah Pawlenty snippet from the Repub convention. Sadly, this isn't parody. It's live coverage.

  • EPM, very much so. Whereas the Palin pick was a big gamble, they're now spending all their time on defense.

And, when your face hits the tabloids, credibility is already pretty gone.

    .....

And, no I've flipped over at two points, but just can't watch.

  • of course, a presidential election via tabloids is regretable but I swear a big part of me wants to see the GOP-method of campaigning utterly destroyed. The GOP-pigs do not learn from shame...as Gen Grievious deliciously said..."make them suffer"...

  • I'm just more agog.

How do you nominate someone who you know will end up on tabloids?
