You can call me cynical, but I think that the applause sound level was 'managed'.When Bush appeared on tape, on the giant Orwellian screen, I felt that his applause and laugh lines were somewhat ineptly answered by someone in a booth nudging an applause slider.But I could be wrong.

I wondered about that, too, although mine was more that the applause during the McCain introduction seemed a lot louder than the shots of large portions of the audience not applauding.
