I think it's the crowds. I think they lose their brains hearing a partisan crowd cheer.

I agree, Mike. I wonder if it's because the play-by-play guys are in the park and they get swept up with the electricity of the excited partisans?
Whatever the reason, the play-by-play guys cast more shadows than light on these events.
