How does this NOT become a campaign issue!? I mean McCain has just been pissing and moaning from the sidelines, but he doesn't actually DO anything about it as a senator.
The corporate press is really giving the old coot a pass on so many things.... Pathetic.
As for McCain, I never really understood it. Occasionally you'll see reporters talk about McCain's honesty. In that they don't mean what he says, but the way he openly acknowledges the ridiculousness of the campaign structure, talking points, replies, gotcha questions, etc.
From that, they like him because he plays along with them.
But he's like the rodeo clown of national politics! I guess they love him cause he's a doofus who knows he's a doofus?
It's like they hold Obama to the standard of a world leader, and the hold McCain to the standard of Larry the Cable Guy.
In the hands of a savvy opposition they could cast McCain as being kind of a joke... "Even the media don't take him too seriously." I think that's one tack the Obama campaign may take: to treat him the respect you would a tragic hero, sadly past his prime and out of his time.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

It's just crazy.... the corporate media's man-crush on McCain.
Do you have any opinions as to why this is? I'm stumped.

I'm wondering if that's going to happen. So long as the polls are close, McCain doesn't get ignored or derision, but if it opens up.....
(Of course, they'll try to be balanced.)
