Obama VP shortlist
The Obama VP team were on the Hill yesterday, and, per FirstRead, these are the names they were talking about,
McCaskill's not there or Bill Richardson... but John Kerry is?
Update: CNN has someone saying it was 20 names.
Ret. Gen. James Jones, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Evan Bayh, Kathleen Sebelius, Ted Strickland, Mark Warner, Tim Kaine, Jim Webb, Bill Nelson, Jack Reed, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Tom Daschle, and Sam Nunn.

Only one woman other than Hillary (who's required to be on the list)?
I see some serious names on the list and I see some names that are probably there out of respect (Kerry, Dodd, Daschle jump to mind). But no Richardson!? This guy really took it on the chin by coming out for Obama. I wonder how serious this list is... or is it just gossipy stuff?

I saw the respect names, too.
I'll bet that list is pretty serious. There may be a few more floating out there, but my guess is that we're really looking at about 4 or 5 serious names on that list.
James Jones, Jim Webb, Sebelius, Daschle, with an outsider tier of Dodd, Warner, Jack Reed, and Strickland.
Just my hunch.
Maybe Richrdson isn't on the list because of all that? Besides, it looks like he and Biden are fighting for Sec State.
