Did anyone else notice during this "awkward encounter" that there was no handshake between the Karzai and Musharraf?

(The WaPo has a good summary piece on that border.)

What is with Karzai and the cape and dorky hat!? He's got this whole James Brown meets Qdaffi thing going on... make him look a bit of a loon, if you ask me.

Good God, man. Go to Sears and get a suite.

I think Qaddafi is the reference point. Karzai is very western and I think that get up is his way of trying to claim some affiliation with the non-urban Afghanis.

Like Bush and his boots and cowboy hat. He's not a cowboy. At best he's a Texas businessman.
