To me at least, this blog is an island of sanity and perspective. It's denser and cleaner than, say, Huffpost or Kos or Salon or Beast.

I don't know why you think that. The whole world is confusing and trying to keep up with events is exhausting. Not your fault. Perhaps you just had more fun during the election?

Just a bad morning, folks. Sometimes when I'm lacking a driving theme or running story, I tend to get a feeling of drift.
There're alot of things I'm a little into right now, but nothing I feel deep into. (I'm not well enough versed on economics or healthcare.) I should be doing Afghanistan, but I don't have the feelings of geographic or political specificity to write with authority.
But we do have the Senate torture investigation coming, and maybe Holder's special prosecutor, and both those fall right into my wheelhouse.
I just kinda looked down the posts this morning, media criticism, stupid Republican, and a Quickhits foreign policy tracking post and felt a lack of theme.
My mood changes like the weather, and I figured I was good for one Atrios type "my blog sucks" post.

It's not that your blog sucks, it's that the Obama administration aren't the bunch of obvious tools that the Bush administration was steeped in.
