American "capitalism" now consists of a system where it's in the best interests of the poor and middle class to compensate the risk undertaken by the owners of capital.

It just struck me today as I was driving around.
Let me say clearly that I think it's in all our interests to support the general precepts of these bailouts, I just find myself wondering how "capitalism" got us to that point.
