Dixville Notch and Hart's Location both went Obama. Sure this is less than 100 voters, but these are also very libertarian/conservative pockets. Both went Bush in 2004.
If it's indicative of anything, it's that Obama's message resonates with traditional conservative/libertarian voters. We'll see how the Seacoast area does, which is the monied region, but I expect NH will go Obama. (I felt this even before today.)
Yeah, but much of NH, like parts of Maine, still cling longingly to the days of Yankee Republicanism. So these early results -- as you acknowledge -- or not insignificant. They are, by definition, historic.
Here's a crappy shot I took of The Balsams resort in Dixville Notch, NH. I don't have anything of the town itself... then again, there's not much of a town!
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

They mentioned that on CNN. Dixville hasn't voted Dem since 68.
There was quite a whoop when it was announced.
And, all the polling supports NH to blue. (If nothing else, you're in that east coast section where Bush polls 10% approval.)

Maybe they can buy Chris Shays a cup of coffee in that lonely Rockefeller Republican diner.

I love that name: Dixville Notch! Rolls off the tongue, as it were.

It sounds like one of the towns in "War of the Worlds."

Hard to believe that with a resort that size, only 21 people inside the township to vote, you know?
