Disgusted.
So, the Republican position is that they tanked the economy because they thought Pelosi's speech was "too partisan?"
Their hurt feelings are worth 7% of all our retirements?
Later: Barney Frank. Seriously, Barney Frank. Rock on.

McCain is above partisan politics. He should have rallied the troops.

I'm waiting to see how the spin battle pans out on this one.
GOP Republicans are getting blamed, despite their efforts to turn it around, and McCain seems to be taking flak as well.
Politically, we need to wait a day or so for the final media judgment, but right now, GOP/McCain are on the losing side.

McCain tried to take credit for a soufflé that was still in the oven... and it collapsed and burned.
The Republican excuse is an embarrassment. I hope they are beaten relentlessly for this "Pelosi hurt our feelings" crap. Dear God, please let the be the precursor to a routing of Republicans come November!
Tie this to McCain. Tie it hard and fast. Failure of Economy and whiny, milquetoast House Republicans = the product of McCain intervention.

I think it's attaching. like I said above, we need a day or so to really see the blame assigned, but my feeling is that tghe storyline is "House Republicans rejected the deal."
Now look at your 401K.

"Now look at your 401K"
You know how freaked out I get with bad poll numbers... There's no way I'm going to look at my 401(k) until this thing settles down. I'll call "my guy" and have him look at it and tell me what to do.

That's where I am. I'm still convinced something will pass, and we'll start to see some recovery.
The difference is that we're now starting that from 7% lower.
I'm going to go walk the dog for awhile.
