Picture of the Day - 3

From the WaPo:
President Bush abruptly got up and left the last formal session of the day, .....

He left behind Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates to represent him for the rest of the session, which concerned NATO operations in Afghanistan, but his departure was so sudden and unexpected that he left some of his motorcade behind, inculding his press pool, when he got into his car and headed back to his hotel.

  • You know, its just through the shear inertia of our history that were treated with any respect whatsoever in the world community. Like a rock skipping across a pond, if it weren't for the accumulation of successes from previous generations we would have sunk under our own present malfeasance. Bush and his ilk stand on the shoulders of others' accomplishments and claim greatness as their own....

We are a government out of control; leaderless, directionless and careening toward 1-20-09, hoping the psycho at the controls is simply too lazy and disinterested to do much more damage.

  • Yeah. It's truly pretty unbelievable. Fortunately we did have that reserve of goodwill.

However, if we somehow elect a McCain, they can't just write it off as a fluke.

  • I think this NATO meeting photo sums up Bush's "the cheese stands alone" status on the international stage.
