beats appearing unnannounced on SNL which less than 1% of her "white women over 65" strongest base of support actually watch or even know exists!

Well, it's the one forum where they unapologetically cover her "media is against me" story.

This is a pretty lame comment anonymouse. Maybe next you could give us an in depth analysis of Barack Obama's "One-on-One with Entertainment Tonight" (are you even aware that SNL first appeared in 1975 so that many white women over 65 do indeed know it exists?)

Good point.
And, What is the "One-on-One with Entertainment Tonight". Did he give them an "exclusive?" I'm sure it was hard hitting.
And I've only caught three SNL bits in the last two weeks. I saw a replay of the debate mockup from two weeks ago, the debate mockup last night, and the very preachy endorsement on Weekend Update two weeks ago ("Bitch is the new black.")
SNL has gone very pro Clinton over the last few weeks which is surprising to me considering how they tore her up before the strike.
....'
And, I'd be really curious for your take on the Clinton Texas fundraiser in the next post.

I watched the first SNL as well as up through mid 80's when it was horrible. Lame? I don't think so...Lame would be a better one word description of her strategy over the last week or so...
(sue for rule changes, lower expectations, raise bar for OB, ask superdels to stop talking, lose her mind over mailings, etc, etc etc...) Oh, don't forget the OB in a turban pic...

So I have to explain lame to you, Anonymous? Lame is the idea that Hillary on SNL is ANY worse than any of Barack's activities shown above. Getting elected is what it is all about - you seem to have lost all objectivity. Why do you feel the need to belittle white women over the age of 65?
By Ptelea, at 5:34 PM
Anonymous is definitely not objective at this point.
.....
Ptelea, I know it's in the moment, but careful on the personal stuff.
That's not bad at all, but I just don't want these comments to go too personal, you know. That's no fun for anybody.
And I tend to agree with you that SNL is certainly fair play. If they want top carry some water fr her, she'd be a fool not to do it, just like Obama getting a friendly interviewer or whatever.

Neither one of you is going to convince each other.

now, now people...
I guess OB shaking hands with a guy in a big sombreo is pandering but bill's wife using a major network to get a "cute" uptick os ok...
Tick is the operative word...and Tock...Mar 4...
Oh, and bill's wife again claims fist lady exp as counting towards her qualifications in comparing her experience, like McCains, to lining up better than OB's as being ready on Day 1.
Help me find a time where OB has used McCain as helping his campaign/qualifications...don't say it is just politics! If OB was behind and did it everyone would be screaming that he is destroying Dem chances and giving GOP talking points for Nov...
And we can't use the sexism card but bill's wife can when she ratchet;s up her supporters by telling them to get their brooms out. I guess most over 65 white women are more easily seen as still playing that role...
Maybe OB can come out on Wed and tell all the men in PA to get our briefcases and go to work (bring home the bacon) and come home and tell bill's wife to quit! (but make dinner first)...
Shame on bill's wife!!! Shame on her, I say!!!
just politics of course...

I hope people reading this understand there are at least 2 or 3 of us anonymice on here.
By Anonymous, at 8:24 PM
Okay, not a direct example, but the Obama campaign has made the case that McCain would steal the independents from Clinton and that she's a Dem only candidate. Not exactly the same thing, but sortof.

Mike - sorry if I am getting too personal but I feel that at least one Anonymous here is constantly making personal attacks on Hillary Clinton and I find them insulting and demeaning to her and those who support her. (and honestly, don't you think "Bill's wife", among many other comments, is beneath the standard of civility that Obama has set for his campaign??) I apologize to the other Anonymice (nice to see that some are reading what I write) who are civil. Otherwise, I find much here that is pointed and fair and enlightening.
By Ptelea, at 11:55 PM
my comments on bill's wife can rarely be classified as a person attack. I comment mostly on the charges/actions she and her surrogates use and the standards she claims. I enjoy pointing out the hypocracy and shining a light on the fact msm is actually taking it very easy on her when you think how media would be reacting if OB was doing what she has been doing over the last three weeks. Bill's Wife is now how I like to refer to her since she took the role of "wifely duties" to charge up her base. Even if she said it as a joke it was beneath what her campaign should be about. If OB talked to a mostly black audience and made joking references to being black the msm and she would be critizing it to no end (and rightly so)...
besides, don't feel sorry for her getting personally attacked (from others)...it has only made her stronger in her 35+years of qualifying experience!
By Anonymous, at 6:43 AM
Ptelea Yes. "Bill's wife" as a reference is definitely somewhat uncivil, but, it's not directly cross commenter, and that's the house rule.
My recommendation is that you don't engage.
Neither of you is going to convince the other of anything. There's no payoff in that fight.
(And I like your comments, so please keep coming.)
