Weren't we supposed to be working on a Mideast peace settlement? Wasn't that a top priority for the year?

Little bit of damage control today. Those military guys are so undiplomatic sometimes. Apparently it's not a holocaust just a catastrophe. The Palestinians will feel relieved.

That's just such a loaded term, especially with the Palestinians being somewhat ghettoized.

Jimmy Carter was right.

It's a threat. I think Vilnai knew exactly what he was saying. The Palestinians seem past caring.

You mean the "freedoms" look smarter every day.
And, the body count on the Gaza operation is shooting up. civilians included.

Well, gee, fellas, the Palestinians voted for the local Palestine Nazi Party (aka, Hamas). Hamas decided to rain missiles down on the State of Israel and kill Israeli civilians. This, after, Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza two years ago.
So Condi and Olmert met in Tokyo and Condi said we'd keep a fleet off Lebanon to keep the Syrians in line while the Israelis clean up the local Nazi Party (also known as Hamas).
And of course, you people have a problem with that. The problem with liberals is that they never get used to the fact that there are actually wicked people in the world who are not named Bush. Some of them are Arab.
Jesus. It's like talking to a wall.
By section9, at 8:37 PM
Yeah, those children killed today were "actually wicked people."
Look. Neither side is right in this mess.
And, if you feel like you're talking to a wall, the logical thing would be to stop talking, wouldn't it?

""there are actually wicked people in the world who are not named Bush. Some of them are Arab.""
And some of them are Israeli/jews.

Criticizing Israeli response is not the same as condoning Palestinian actions. The problem is, each side wants to see themselves as blameless and righteous in the eyes of god, and the other as the very spawn of evil itself.
A pox on both their (political) houses.
By -epm, at 10:49 AM
but the israeli's are suppossed to be better than that (right in the eye's of god)...or are they religious fanatics too? No? When then they have a MASSIVE chip oin their shoulder and we know how most of the world treats and thinks of people like that. Plus they are trying to flex a little muscle after hamas handed their ass to them last year.
