I'm getting a McCain vibe. I'd love to see either of the two Dems (or any Dem really) as president... but I feel the party has lost sight of just how conservative much of the country is.
Just saying, it's a lot shorter tack for McCain than it is for Obama (or Clinton).
I think they blundered into it, because of the division of the conservative base, but the Republicans nominated a guy who's going to be very tough in the center. And the center is where the swing states are...
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

I'm not paying enough attention....
If I'm getting any vibe it's that Obama isn't fighting he's campaigning, and that Hillary isn't campaigning she's fighting.

EPM, that's where she is. She has to fight at this point.
....
TG, the same could easily have been said of the Republicans just a few weeks ago. That's the nature of primaries, then they all tack to the center.
....
Anon, Just please don't sue me.

Agreed, but as a weak counter argument, I might offer that the election landscape has moved left a bit.
Not a strong argument, but it's all I've got.

I'd agree that it has moved somewhat left.
I think a lot will depend on how Iraq and the economy go in the next eight months.
