Picture of the Day

McCain gets the Joementum.

Notice how excited the people are, all clustering around the powerhouse that is Lieberman....

  • I really don't "get" Joe Lieberman. He is, to me, an example of how far this country has shifted off it's foundation. A man so self obsessed with himself and his own power, to go from Democratic nominee for vice precedent, to an overtly hostile anti-Democrat pol in just seven years.

  • What I was thinking while looking at this picture again, was, who is this endorsement aimed at?

People who consider themselves "centrists" but still support the Iraq war?

(For whatever reason, Lieberman believes in the US waging war in Iraq and Iran and others. From that the schism with the party developed, and then all the other stuff cropped up.)

  • Good question. Who are the people that are influenced by Lieberman's opinions? And how does this affect the GOP primaries in any way?

  • The argument the MCCain people are making is that Lieberman will help influence independents to vote Republican in the NH primaries which would benefit McCain.

I don't know New Hampshire politics, but Lieberman couldn't even influence independents to vote for him four years ago, so, I don't know.

I figure they'd rather vote for the Dems, probably Obama.
