Have we reached this point?
11 soldiers died in Iraq just yesterday, and it's not a top ten headline on AP, Reuters, AFP, USAToday, or on the front page of the NYTimes, or the LATimes.
11 in one day.
(The WaPo has it on page A01.)

You're in the (Viet Nam) jungle, baby, you gonna die! (ta da da da).
Yepp, just like in Nam. 15 KIA didn't even make it headlines, but they built a memorial for 11 guys in Mogadishu (not my words).

Right that's why it concerns me so much.
The previous threshold was around 6 or 7. If more than 6 or 7 died, they got a headline. Now, 11 doesn't get a headline.
(And it's not like there's alot of other huge stories clogging the headlines.)

What else are they going to report? Republican scandals? Get serious. :)

Well, On the web NYTimes this morning, there was an article on a clothes designer and Roger Clemmons and the French election that I remember.
