When's the last time Bush had one of his famous troop prop photo op? You know, the ones where he orders a herd of servicemen to stand in the background, while struts around all indigent like and berates Democrats in a Texas accent that sounds unnaturally thick, like he's trying too hard.
Lately, it seems, he's been hole up in the WH; his own personal Alamo.
The last one I remember was a few months ago. I remember it because I thought it was odd he was wearing a bulletproof vest with "the troops."
He did the one a week ago with veterans in uniform and families after the House Iraq vote, but that was only a dozen and not what you're talking about.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
