The Bush administration has already demonstrated it's willingness to turn a blind eye toward supporters of terrorists, vis-à-vis Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc. as long as they support the president's hold on power.
Would they hege on snagging bin Ladin for crass power-lust? It fits the model of their behavior. Did they actually do this? I certainly hope not.
Again, I don't know if this is true, but if it is, I would ask the question, "Is Bin Laden not shoot on sight? Do the guys in the command not already have that clearance?"
Bush said Bin Laden isn't a big fish (any more). Or, the soldiers saw a mirage. After months in the heat hunting for a guy with a beard, you start seeing things... :)
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.
