WAPO frontpager today on Giuliani: "If the Republican Party wants to send the social conservatives home for good, all they have to do is nominate Rudy Giuliani," said Rick Scarborough, a Southern Baptist minister and president of Vision America. "It's an insult to the pro-Christian agenda. . . . He's going to spend a lot of money finding he can't get out of the Republican primaries."

Dear God, please kill Mitt and McCain in a plane crash. Also do something about Obama and Hillary. Thanking you in advance...

The notions that any politician should have a pro-sectarian "agenda" should send chills up the spine of every patriot. The government of the United States has no business enforcing a religious "agenda" upon the American people.

Right. According to the principles of our country, right.
However, if your goal is to shape/control the country, religion can be very useful. Under it's cloak you can inculcate certain lifestyles, understandings (deference,) and behaviors.
Religion is powerful when used as a tool. That's why it's been around so long.

Dave, I don't think that's going to happen. The McCain folks will be sure of that.
