Foley was a deputy whip. That's a pretty high position within the leadership, so I would imagine he voted along w/ Hastert a lot (if not always.)
Just watching TV tonight, there's even more Foley stuff on than last night. This thing really has blown up. And I'm glad to find out it wasn't Dems who slipped this story to Ross and ABC. I think that really helps politically if Dems aren't tied to leaking this to ABC for political reasons.

I agree that it helps alot politically that it didn't come from Dems, (and also from a moral ground,) but at the same time, I kind of liked the idea that they were playing that kind of hard ball.
It let me think that they wanted it that much.
And, I don't know if there's anything in the votes, it was more something that just crossed my mind. Very often in Washington weaknesses get turned into favors and votes. I posted it up hoping maybe somebody'd seen something.
And, I think the story definitely keeps driving for awhile as long as ABC is putting out the IM's.
I'll be really curious to see how Hastert plays out. When Boehner turned on him today, I thought that was the green light for the folks on the floor, but then Bush came back in with support withing six hours, so I don't know.
