Who profits?

I don't know about that, they may well be working for Shia politicians, or Sunni politicians, or smuggler/gangsters. I just don't know.

But two data points I would add thight might support that contention.

I would highly recommend looking back at the discussion of "The Salvador option" of the US training death squads.

Okay, but you got the message. That's my concern.

Some time ago, I tried several comments, but eventually just gave up trying.

(They were just text.)

(And the spam filter response is new. I used to just get a non-specific error.)
