Sorry, Dave. I want to make an impact, but it's not my intent to crater you. This photo just struck me because the very human emotions are in conflict with the propagandized recruiting version of a marine.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

At first glance, I immediately had a real pithy, snarky comment... then I noticed the casket.
Now I just feel like crap. How come politicians never feel like crap... unless their fundraising isn't going as well as they'd like.

My belief is that they have an inflated sense of self importance that they use to shield themselves.
Something along the lines of "It's my job to make the tough decisions."

I had a rough day today, just crazy.
This picture finally did it: I'm still kinda hiccuping-sobbing here.
But it's a picture we need to see, isn't it? Because for most of us, still, this horrible war has no cost, involves no sacrifice, involves no pain.
But look what's being done to others in our names...
