Don't miss Tim Pawlenty trying to act as conservative sheriff, warning Olympia Snowe about her "deviations."

I can't believe this guy's the governor of MN... I can understand Minnesotans electing an eccentric independent like Ventura, but a conservative ideologue and Party Puritan?

I have to image Pawlenty was playing a different character when he was running for gov.

My impression is that he was. His cheat sheet in the VP race was blue collar appeal. Moderate fiscal conservative. "Right" positions on social issues, but he didn't talk about them.

I figure now that he's positioning for PRes, they're betting he can win the Palin (not running,) Huckabee, Pawlenty section and overtake Romney as he hits his support ceiling. Because Nobody's beating Romney for the business vote, and even trying makes you the target of his huge war chest.
