Paraphrase

The host of "Wait, wait don't tell me" took a nasty shot at Joe Lieberman this weekend.

Roughly, "The surest way to get Joe Lieberman's vote on healthcare is to figure out way to let him think he's stabbing someone in the back."

  • I wish I had the full quote, it was actually much sharper.

    I couldn't find it on a quick google and didn't want to listen to the whole show again so I just paraphrased.

  • You've got the quote pretty close, though he said "betray somebody." The harsh bit was when Tom Beaudette equates Lieberman to "the pimple on the butt of progress".
