Hamid Karzai, hugely unpopular, yet expected to win reelection handily. I guess election fraud is acceptable when it's our puppet who comes out on top.

I don't know if what he's doing is technically "fraud" as we think about it.
What he's done is eliminate or coopt the opposition into supporting him.
Huge amounts of graft have been promised out.
