Sarah Palin begins to build political chits.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed (Texas Governor) Rick Perry for re-election, calling him the "true conservative" in a primary election showdown with fellow Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison.....
In a letter to "Texas Republican women" distributed by the Perry campaign, Palin touts the Texas governor's conservative credentials.

All I know about TX politics comes from Ben Sargent political cartoons. But Rick Perry has always struck me as more of a Blagojevich kinda guy... A little greasy. Maybe add a pinch of Cornyn into the mix too.
To Palin and her pals, "True conservative" means something different than it does up here in the Northeast.

Yeah, Perry is pretty slimy, but he's better at it than Blagojevich. His deals aren't small pay to play, they're rewriting Walmart's rules of busness in the state.
