It reads more like he's screwing more with Cornyn than the leadership, per se. But still... I like the "drinking buddies" visual of McCain and H. Clinton.
My State's shame is leadership now, head of the NRCC, and it appears he's been given the oppositional role in the confirmation hearings, probably because he's not afraid to say anything.
I remember him from such scenes as "the main Republican defending torture."
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.

Well, he's a red Senator from a very red state. He can be as crazy as he wants, and his seat is likely secure.
He is part of the Southern rump.
