That hit me as well. But it wasn't until I got home from work that it dawned on me "Geroge W. Bush is no longer POTUS! He's gone!"
For so long W's been on the Presidential stage. Even after the election it felt like we had two presidents, you know. But now he's finally gone... and may he quickly become an irrelevant private citizen.
It's odd, but on television, even on C-Span, when former chief executives are referred to, it's without the 'former'. I get a shock when a tv face refers to 'President Clinton'or'President Carter'.
Maybe that's just me. Or maybe I just want it clearly understood that these guys are in the past. I would rather not hear about 'President Bush' any more for a good long while.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.
