Well, I just like the image for it's photographic composition. That probably not an easy shot to get.
We'll never really know what's going on in Bush's head. The man really is an enigma. I think we can be sure we're not seeing the real man in these interviews. This is the character he's created. But on some occasions there are flashes of candor -- such as in his final press conference -- and I think it's a little scary.
For someone who claims not to care about what public opinion or "popularity" he's spending a crap load of effort on legacy propaganda. I think he really, really, believes he deserves to be on Mt. Rushmore.... or at least something like that.
This lists as White House photo, so this is from the official Bush photographer.
And I agree that he feels put upon and underappreciated. I still feel weird about that last press conference moment when he jokingly whined about the economic collapse happening on his watch and then angrily spoke on self pity.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

This is a great photo. I like the framing of the Capitol in the window, which I believe is the west side where Obama was just sworn in.

I thought 1) Katrina.
