So, help me out with this. Someone at the Counterterrorism Center is watching Bush from a window? Are they waving, or seeing the last of his backside?

I think someone asked him either his IQ or how many shots of bourbon he had for breakfast or both.

Well, Bush I was head spook -- maybe it's a mutual friend?

Well I guess he's popular there. He helped create a lot of jobs.

Matt, Bush just seems way too relaxed and happy for the economic state. When you're president and the phrase "since the Great Depression" is thrown around in seriousness, you shouldn't be smiling so much.
....
Anon, I just had this image of people clustered to the window watching him leave, happy that he'd be gone, and then Bush, in his self delusional way, thought they were saying goodbye out of affection.

I also get the impression of
"Dear, dear counterterrorism people. I think I'll miss you the most."
There's something about this photo, taking place where it does that feels weird to me.

Bush has no depth because there's nothing behind that smirking-chimp-Ivy-League-frat-boy mind. He's never wanted for anything and never will so he has no perspective or empathy ergo, no Gravitas.

I agree with matt. There's no depth to the man. He cannot go beyond the perfunctory mimicking of gravitas.

But, I don't think he's mimicking it. I think he really believes (or believed) that he was/is a great force of history.
I don't think he completely understands the gap.

Oh, when it comes to his egocentric self image, there's no end to how awesome he thinks he is. In that he pays great and serious worship of himself.
I should have said he lacks any empathetic gravitas (as matt alluded to). When it comes to anyone or thing outside his own personal self interest he can only mimic gravitas... he doesn't really feel it.
All hyperbole aside, I truly believe he is completely divorced from the lives lived by average American. Never mind the poor or *gasp* people in other countries. He may even suffer form some mental health problems, and I mean that in all seriousness.

No question. His lack of expressed sensitivity is pretty clear. He does live in a different world.
