Yeah but, Meet the Press or not, these are Americans who have 401(k)s and kids and mortgages and, well, at the end of the day it's been a long dark eight years. And just how dark it's been is made even starker by the contrast with Obama's very reasonable, intelligent, hopeful and presidential demeanor.
I understand, and, frankly, pretty cool to have the Obama autograph, but you'd think if anyone would be past political starstruck, it'd be Meet the Press.
I know what you're saying, and I agree completely.
But here's the thing, there's two type of people I'd be thrilled to see: my favorite celebrity, and the guy who pulls over to help me get my car out of a ditch in the middle of nowhere. I'm probably reading too much into this, but while Obama is a "celebrity" I think people -- even MTP types -- see him as the guy who's gonna help them get our car out of the ditch too.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

It's been a long time since anyone has felt confident and good, in a sane rational way, about an elected official.

Yeah, but this is Meet the Press, the very serious news program and they're gathering around like fans.

It's more a watermark for his popularity.

Maybe, and I'd buy that on a broader scale, but this picture looks celebrity to me.
Not that it really matters.
