His silence is deafening, isn't it. We're not even hearing supportive words coming indirectly, like from "people close to McCain." Indeed, it's these "senior advisers" who are being cited as sources for the defamation, if you will.
I'll bet McCain really, really... REALLY... doesn't like Palin. And I'm not even talking about his parochial women issues...

That's what I'm reading. And in the wake of the loss, he's probably especially peeved that she's clamoring for so much attention.
