The use of "metrics" are always a sign of a failing effort.......

Reading this Politico piece on McCain "revving up" his ground game, I'm struck by how much the McCain campaign is trying to use "metrics" to create a storyline that they're not woefully behind in volunteers and structure.

The piece reads like a McCain press release.....
