A old man Novak driving a late model Corvette just screams "I'M OVERCOMPENSATING FOR MY LOW SELFIMAGE."

I mean, a Corvette!? It's so .... Austin Powers ... Yeah, Baby. Putz.

Then again maybe he's a real car enthusiast and/or hobbyist mechanic.... Yeah. That's problably it.
