Why? Is it that Team Clinton really feels they can find a big enough tire-iron to bust Obama's kneecaps and thus win by default? Is it just a pathological need to win, win, win? Do they really think a President Obama would be disastrous for America and antithetical to everything Hillary stands for?
Really?
I've seen how ugly the Clintons get when they're trying to win... Can you imagine how ugly they'd be if they lose? I shudder to think...
I don't know what they're doing. My best guess is that they're trying to build a "Gore case" so that they can (with all the excuses we're used to) claim that they really won later on.
I don't know if that's for 2012, an "I told you so," or what, but that's kinda what I'm feeling.
No matter how you feel about it, they've run much much cleaner since Pa, (they weren't the ones pushing Wright) which leads me to believe that their now positioning for something else. Reputation, positioning, legacy....?
They weren't the ones pushing Wright, but one of their funders was. And they didn't exactly wade in and say, "Oh, we had our dealings with Rev Wright too, and he may be flamboyant at times, but he's done a lot of good service in Chicago."
They move the goal line, and now it's moving to 2012. Hillary will meet with the superdelegates tomorrow, and they'll tell her to bow out. Bill will tell her to lick her wounds, work on using what levers they have left to get McCain elected, remind her that they successfully undermined Gore in '00 and Kerry in '04, and that she'll come roaring back three years from now.
The only problem is, the Clintons are driving with the rear view mirror.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

Agreed. Since Pa, the Clinton camp has been running decidedly cleaner.
(And, "remind her that they successfully undermined Gore in '00" is just some grade A snark. Haven't heard that anywhere, but it's true.)
