Wondering
When you look at that polling saying Clinton supporters will vote for McCain instead of Obama, ask yourself this: Are the Democratic "base" women who support Hillary Clinton (right now) really going to carry their pique in the face of another Republican administration that would likely pick the next two Supreme Court judges, likely jeopardizing Roe v Wade?
Really?
Really?

I think it was Rahm Emmanuel who said (and I'm paraphrasing here), "Whether the Dems win in November or not depends more on the candidate that loses the nomination that the candidate who wins the nomination."
Right now, the Dem rank and file is being ripped to it's sinew by scorched earth campaigning. To my eyes this is mainly coming from Hillary running as if she's campaigning for the McCain ticket. So it could be said her supporters are being conditioned to identify more with McCain than Obama. However, if she loses the nomination, there will be plenty of opportunities for her to reinvent herself (again) and really bring the party together.
We are a fickle bunch, we Americans. We can be united. But just as easily we can be divided. So, do we trust the Clintons when it comes to losing magnanimously? Hmmm.

Yeah, that was his.
And, in my opinion, it's partially the way Clinton's running and partially that she's still running.
Her suspension of the pretext of a contest gets more nasty as both sides realize the unlikleyhood of her winning. The Obama people get angrier, and her core supporters get angry in response.
And, if she does have any hopes of going on, she'll have to at least admit defeat graciously. However, whether and to what degree she might campaign for him is still very open to question.
