Obama lets Clinton off the hook for the RFK comment, only after letting her twist for a full day and after assuring it will be fodder on the Sunday morning talk shows.

Hmmm. I thought she could handle attacks, mis-characterisations, smears, etc. She's been vetted, after all.
Sure, Obama could have helped her out on her little gaffe more quickly, but she is supposed to the tough, cautious, and experienced one of two.

Hmmm. If Obama actually did make her squirm before expressing his honest opinion, then I would say his actions were politics as usual...
In reality, I think this whole mini-episode was much ado about nothing. Just another example of how we seem to avoid meaningful discussion.

I think it's flared and faded. I didn't watch the Sunday shows, so I don't know, but that's my sense.
I just thought it was interesting that Obama was magnanimous after a suitable amount of time that it became big.
