The Pakistanis offer to turn over the "US's terrorists" to Iran
Jundullah is a terror group against Iran, with admitted US ties, and the new Pakistani government appears to be serving up several members to Iran which may soon have a much better grasp of what has been going on along their southeastern border.
And, the new Pakistani government is pushing ahead with its tribal area peace deals over the US's strenuous objections.
Pakistan is quickly swinging away from the US.
In another sign of growing tensions with the United States, Pakistan is threatening to turn over to Iran six members of a tribal militant group Iran claims are "spies" for the CIA......
The CIA has denied any direct ties with the group, but U.S. officials tell ABC News U.S. intelligence officers frequently meet and advise Jundullah leaders, and current and former intelligence officers are working to prevent the men from being sent to Iran.
The six Jundullah members were taken into custody by Pakistani authorities last week, and the Iranian Mehr News Agency reported Pakistan would soon extradite the men to Iran, where they would likely be put on trial as spies and face execution.

Not only is Pakistan swinging away, but our intelligence services seem to be cozying up to every and any disaffected thugs within Iran. In 2/07, it was these very same Baluchi "rebels" (Jondallah) that were our new Iranian buddies. They boldly sprung into action and blew up a school bus full of Iranian schoolchildren.
Hearts and minds, and all that.

“Funding for their separatist causes comes directly from the CIA’s classified budget but is now ‘no great secret’, according to one former high-ranking CIA official in Washington who spoke anonymously to the Sunday Telegraph.

We aren't going to get anywhere with the Iranian people by employing "contras".

Matt, definitely. I often look at it in terms of the older empires. We're at the point where the outer provinces started working more independently from Rome. They're not rebelling yet, but the word of the empire is carrying less and less weight.
....
Todd, I shoulda linked to that in this post, but I wrote it in a hurry. (And they have conducted several other smaller attacks.)
Also, don't forget the US's blind eye/support for the MEK coming out of Iraq or the PJK coming out of Kurdistan.
We're not clean here.
