The photo by itself comes across as either slightly paternalistic and condescending, or a touch embarrassingly personal, depending on how you look at it.
But, like so much in the media these days, anything taken out of context can be misconstrued.

And, I find the image of the black man seating her kinda odd too. (my own stereotypes and racism, I guess.)

never thought of the "black man seating a white woman" angle and I think not thinking ofr it is a good thing. But if he hadn't of been a gentleman and exhibited proper manners you can be sure a clinton surrogate would have somehow made an issue of it - esp in the south where the southern belles still exist...
