Not Prepared

Not that this will come as a surprise to anyone who witnessed Katrina, but still, it should probably be added to the Bush record.
The U.S. military isn't ready for a catastrophic attack on the country, and National Guard forces don't have the equipment or training they need for the job, according to a report.

Even fewer Army National Guard units are combat-ready today than were nearly a year ago....

  • the fed prints more and more $, the next natural disaster will devistate and our troops are being pushed to 150%. GOP playing for 2012. A lot of potentially bad things can happen (recession/hurricanes/attack/Pakistan implosion...) and the incoming Dem president will take all the hits. bush will be forgotten - at least to the point of MSM putting responsibility on him. But who in the GOP will be the 1012 front runner?? Romney...Jeb...Cheney... :o)

  • As we've discussed, that's the whole Iraq strategy that spawned "the surge."

Pass it on and blame the inheritor.

There is that point that there's no clear GOP candidate in 2012. I'm thinking Jeff Flake.
