Clinton attacks Edwards in SC?
Is Hillary Clinton targeting Edwards with nasty little robocalls in SC because she's worried about third or because she's trying to steal his voters?
I mean, why attack Edwards?

Maybe Edwards ought to remind voters about Hillary's turning $1000 into $100,000 trading pork bellies.
These Clintons are just plain nasty. God help us from another 4/8 years of them in the White House.

"Mr. Clinton seems to be addressing the TV pundits who are all questioning his value on the campaign trail. “I think I know something about what it takes to put together a successful presidency” and he refers to his “post-politics” career. Yes, that’s all about him, but he says he was just setting up his point: Even if he hadn’t been married to Mrs. Clinton, he would still support her!
Mr. Clinton’s long speech spares Mrs. Clinton from having to do a concession speech before Mr. Obama takes the stage. But how bizarre."
Maybe it's just because Hillary isn't my preferred candidate, but there's something profoundly unsettling about this tag-team, bob-and-weave, BillandHillary campaign. The more Bill campaigns (for his wife?), the more I'm left thinking "what the hell is going on here?"
There is a dimension here that is so unusual that, by definition, this is going far beyond politics as usual.

Abi, But, similarly, what would Edwards gain? He's not going to be able to take enough out of her to win, so, especially from his weak position, he'd just damage himself.
....
EPM, I can't really comment, I flipped off the Bill Clinton speech in disgust before it even started.
Not because of anything he was saying or going to say, but because I thought it was a pretty cheap play to force the networks to carry him. If another spouse had made a speech, would they have gotten that unchallenged limelight?
