Not going so well for the Egyptians on the Gaza border
(AP) "Hamas-backed militants driving bulldozers knocked down more fortifications Friday along the Gaza-Egypt border — a brazen challenge to Egyptian riot police, who abandoned their positions after attempting to reseal the frontier using human chains, dogs and water cannons."

Somehow I get the impression the Egyptians don't see why they should keep the people of Gaza bottled up.

They're trapped between the US and their people. And as we discussed yesterday, they want to help the Palestinians, but aren't crazy about a hundred thousand of them not going back to Gaza.
I was just struck by how this autocratic society didn't seal with this the way they would with their own people.
